These two sisters began performing with their three sisters, at the age of 4 and 5, doing 2 and 3 part harmonies. They were coached by their parents who chose and arranged all pieces that were performed. They took part in choirs, amateur nights, music festivals and local television programs throughout childhood and into adolescence.
As an adult, Tiare was involved with a soft rock/country rock trio in Saskatoon called Dan and friends.
Upon moving to Vancouver Tiare and Tracey began performing, once again, with their sisters under the name Road Allowance. They did a variety of music from both their Aboriginal and European ancestries, performed at various public functions and completed a promotional cd.
Tiare also performed as jazz vocalist in the jazz/soft rock duo Tiare James, playing in lounges, private functions and corporate events during the late nineties.
Tiare was a founding member of M’Girl (2003) and Tracey joined the group in 2008; both have been actively performing with the group since.
